AHS Building Group wanted to expand beyond traditional word-of-mouth and contractor-led work by creating a scalable way to attract and engage retail homeowners earlier in their renovation journey. Their goal was to diversify revenue streams, reduce reliance on inbound enquiries alone, and create a system that could generate qualified renovation leads consistently while positioning AHS as a trusted authority in residential building.

The client problem

Homeowners planning renovations often struggle with unclear or inconsistent quotes, confusing trade terminology, uncertainty around whether pricing is fair, and difficulty comparing multiple builders. From AHS's perspective, this created two challenges:
  • Retail homeowners were difficult to attract and convert without investing significant time in manual quoting and consultations.
  • There was no structured way to capture and retain data from early-stage prospects who were not yet ready to commit to a full build.

AHS needed a solution that could educate homeowners upfront, filter and qualify enquiries automatically, and create new commercial opportunities beyond traditional project work.

What we found in discovery

During discovery, it became clear that AHS's biggest strength was also its biggest bottleneck. They had deep expertise in renovation pricing and project scoping, but this knowledge was locked inside manual processes, difficult to scale, and only accessible once a homeowner made direct contact.

Three key opportunities emerged:

  • Homeowners needed clarity and confidence before speaking to builders.

  • AHS needed a way to monetise its expertise independently of build projects.

  • There was long-term value in building a qualified database of renovation-ready homeowners that could be acted on later.

This led to the creation of Easy Quotes, a standalone digital product built and powered by AHS's real-world building expertise.

We designed and built Easy Quotes as a conversion-focused renovation quoting platform that delivers value to homeowners while creating multiple revenue and growth opportunities for AHS.

1. Renovation Quote & Education Tool

  • Built a multi-step quote builder that adapts to room type, renovation scope, and project complexity.

  • Homeowners receive a clear, expert-backed price benchmark in plain English, helping them understand what a fair quote looks like and what work should be included.

  • Positions AHS as a trusted authority before any direct sales conversation begins.

2. Logged-In Client Experience

  • Users can create an account to manage their quotes and services.

  • Revisit previous submissions and progress from estimate to paid service.

  • Creates continuity for the user while increasing lifetime value for AHS.

3. Admin & Operations Platform for AHS

  • Built a secure admin dashboard that allows AHS to manage customers and orders.

  • Review project details and automatically generate professional PDF quotes.

  • Track payments and service delivery, significantly reducing admin overhead and manual quoting time.

4. Payments & Email Automation

  • Integrated secure payment processing and built automated email flows.

  • Confirm orders, deliver quotes, nurture early-stage visitors, and convert anonymous traffic into paying customers.

  • The platform now works continuously in the background without manual intervention.

5. Future-Proofed Lead Database

  • Every quote request contributes to a growing database of homeowners actively planning renovations.

  • Creates optional future pathways including serving projects directly, matching homeowners with vetted local trades, and developing additional renovation-related services.

  • While this element has not yet been fully scoped by AHS, the technical foundations are already in place.
